CPA Calculator

Free CPA calculator: cost per acquisition from cost and conversions, or from spend, clicks and conversion rate. In your browser.

About this tool

CPA Calculator is a free, in-browser tool for the cost per acquisition (or cost per action) of a campaign. It has two modes: Direct, where you enter cost and conversions, and From funnel, where you enter ad spend, clicks and a conversion rate. The mode selector swaps the input fields; all math runs locally and nothing is uploaded.

In Direct mode, CPA = cost ÷ conversions. In funnel mode the conversions are derived first as conversions = clicks × (CVR ÷ 100), then CPA = spend ÷ conversions. The result tiles show the CPA, the conversion count used, and the underlying cost so both modes are directly comparable.

Use it to price a lead or sale, to sanity-check a bid against a funnel's click-to-conversion rate, or to compare acquisition cost across channels. CPA and cost are formatted as currency; the conversion count allows fractional values when derived from a funnel.

Frequently asked questions

How is cost per acquisition calculated?
CPA = cost ÷ conversions. In Direct mode you enter both directly. Spending 2,000 to win 40 conversions is a CPA of 50.00.
How does the funnel mode work?
It derives conversions from your traffic first: conversions = clicks × (conversion rate ÷ 100). Then CPA = ad spend ÷ those conversions — handy when you know your click volume and typical CVR but not the final count.
Why do I need conversions above zero?
CPA divides cost by conversions, so zero conversions would divide by zero. In funnel mode this means clicks and the conversion rate must both be above zero; otherwise the tool shows an invalid message.
Does anything leave my browser?
No. Spend, clicks, conversions and rates are all processed locally; nothing is uploaded.
