Dividend & Dividend Yield Calculator

Dividend yield, annual income from your shares, and projected income with dividend growth.

About this tool

Dividend & Dividend Yield Calculator is a free, in-browser tool that turns a share price and annual dividend per share into the dividend yield, plus the yearly and monthly income a given number of shares produces. Add an expected dividend growth rate to project income years ahead.

Yield is dividend per share ÷ price × 100. Future income compounds the current income at the growth rate — income × (1+g)^years — and yield on cost divides the grown dividend by the price you paid, showing how a rising payout boosts the return on your original outlay.

Type in figures from any broker statement or company report to see, for example, what 100 shares yielding 4% with 5% annual dividend growth pay you today and in ten years. All inputs are user-supplied and every calculation runs locally in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

How is dividend yield calculated?
Yield = annual dividend per share ÷ share price × 100; enter the total dividends paid per share over a year (sum of quarterly or monthly payouts), not a single installment.
What is yield on cost?
It is the projected future dividend per share divided by the price you entered today — after t years of growth g it equals DPS·(1+g)^t ÷ price, showing the growing return on your original purchase price.
Does the projection account for reinvested dividends?
No. It grows the payout per share at your growth rate but keeps the share count fixed; reinvesting dividends would buy more shares and raise income faster than shown.
Where does the price and dividend data come from?
You enter it yourself from your broker or the company's investor page — the tool fetches no live market data and runs entirely offline in your browser.
