Half Birthday Calculator is a free, in-browser tool that finds the date exactly six months from your birthday — a fun milestone often celebrated for children with summer birthdays, or just as an excuse for cake. Nothing is uploaded; the date is worked out locally from your birth date.
It takes your birth month and day, adds six months (wrapping into the next year when needed), and clamps the day to the length of the target month. So an August 31 birthday gives a half birthday on the last day of February — the 28th, or the 29th in a leap year. The tool then picks this year's half birthday, or next year's if this year's has already passed, and counts the days until it.

Frequently asked questions
How is the half birthday calculated?
The tool adds six months to your birth month and day. Adding six months to June 15 gives December 15; wrapping past December rolls into the next year, so October 2 becomes April 2.
What happens to a month-end birthday like August 31?
Six months after August is February, which has no 31st, so the day is clamped to the last day of the month — February 28, or February 29 in a leap year. The same clamping handles the 29th, 30th and 31st landing in shorter months.
Does the countdown show this year or next year?
It shows the next upcoming half birthday. If this year's half birthday is still ahead, that date is used; if it has already passed, the tool rolls to next year's and counts the days until then.
Is my birth date kept private?
Yes. The calculation happens entirely in your browser — your birth date is never uploaded or stored.
