Random Emoji Generator

Generate random emoji filtered to the categories you pick — smileys, animals, food, travel, symbols and more — with per-emoji and copy-all buttons.

Choose categories and a count, then press Generate.

About this tool

The Random Emoji Generator produces a random handful of emoji on demand. Tick the Unicode categories you want to draw from — Smileys & Emotion, People & Body, Animals & Nature, Food & Drink, Travel & Places, Activities, Objects, Symbols and Flags — set how many you need (1–100), and press Generate. The pool is the union of every selected category, and each run reshuffles it, so you get a fresh mix every time.

Two sampling modes are built in. With "allow repeats" on (the default), the tool draws N emoji independently, so the same emoji may appear more than once — handy when you just want N picks. Turn it off and it performs a Fisher–Yates shuffle of the pool and takes the first N unique emoji, guaranteeing no duplicates (capped at the pool size). The output box joins the results with your chosen separator — space, none, or one per line.

Results also render as click-to-copy tiles, so you can grab a single emoji, or use Copy All to lift the whole string at once. Everything runs locally from a bundled emoji list — no network, no tracking — making it perfect for placeholder content, games, giveaways, reactions, or design mockups.

Frequently asked questions

How many emoji can I generate at once?
Between 1 and 100 per run. Enter the count, choose your categories, and press Generate. The output box shows them joined by your separator and each also appears as a clickable tile.
What is the difference between the two modes?
With allow-repeats on, each of the N picks is drawn independently, so duplicates are possible. With it off, the pool is shuffled and the first N unique emoji are taken — no repeats, but you cannot get more than the pool contains.
Can I copy just one emoji?
Yes. Every result is a tile you can click to copy that single emoji. Use the Copy All button instead to copy the entire generated string using the separator you selected.
Which emoji are included?
A curated set from the standard Unicode emoji groups — smileys, people, animals, food, travel, activities, objects, symbols and flags. Skin-tone and combined sequences are not generated; the base emoji are used so they render reliably everywhere.
