Square Footage Calculator is a free, in-browser tool for the area of a room, wall, yard or lot. Enter length and width, pick the unit they are measured in (feet, inches, yards or meters), and it returns the area in square feet, square meters and square yards. Nothing is uploaded — the math runs on your device.
Both dimensions are converted to feet (inches ÷ 12, yards × 3, meters × 3.28084), then area in square feet is length × width × quantity. Square meters multiply by 0.092903 and square yards divide by 9. Enter a price per square foot and a total-cost tile appears (area × price), handy for flooring, paint or land quotes.
Use the quantity field to total several identical rooms or panels at once. For irregular spaces, split them into rectangles, run each through the tool, and add the square-foot figures together.
