The tables follow the widely published generic conversions: women's dress sizes offset by fixed steps between systems (a US 8 is roughly a UK 12, EU 40, IT 44, FR 40 and JP 13), men's shirts convert the collar between inches and centimetres, and men's suits convert the chest-based US/UK number to the EU scale and Japanese letter sizes. Why does my usual size not fit the same in every brand?

How do men's shirt sizes work?
Dress shirts are sized by collar circumference: in inches in the US, UK and Australia (for example 15½) and in centimetres in Europe and Japan (for example 39-40). The converter also shows the matching international letter size, such as M or L.
What is my suit size in the EU system?
US and UK suit sizes are based on chest measurement in inches, and the EU/IT/FR number is generally that size plus 10 — a US 40 is roughly an EU 50. Japanese suits commonly use letter sizes, where a US 40 corresponds to about an L.
Which women's dress size systems does the chart cover?
US sizes 0–20 with their UK (+4), EU (+32), Italian (+36), French (+32), Japanese (+5) and Australian (same as UK) equivalents — the standard published offsets. Petite, tall and plus ranges use different scales, so check the brand's chart for those.
