Size charts only standardise the label, not the shoe. Each brand designs its own lasts, so a US 9 from one maker can be roomier or tighter than another's. This tool gives the standard published equivalents — always check the specific brand's own chart when it is available.
What is a Japanese or Mondopoint shoe size?
Japan (and the Mondopoint standard) labels shoes by the foot length they fit, in centimetres. A JP 26 fits a foot about 26 cm long, which is why the JP column matches the foot-length column in this converter.
How do kids' shoe sizes work?
US and UK children's sizes count up to 13.5 and then restart at 1 for youth sizes, so a youth 1 is bigger than a child 13. Enter the number as it appears on the label — the converter knows that 1Y follows 13.5C and picks the right row. Note that this chart starts at 8C, so toddler sizes below 8C are not covered: numbers from 1 to 7 are always read as youth (Y) sizes, and infant sizes below 1 are reported as out of range.
How do I measure my foot length?
