Calculate your GPA from course grades and credit hours on a 4.0, 4.3, 5.0 or 10-point scale.
One entry per letter, e.g. A=4. Edit it to match your school; changing the scale resets the list.
About this tool
The GPA Calculator is a free, in-browser tool that turns your course grades and credit hours into a grade point average. Add a row per course, enter the letter grade (or grade points directly) and its credits, and the GPA updates instantly.
The letter-to-points mapping is fully editable, so it adapts to any school: pick a 4.0, 4.3, 5.0 (weighted) or 10-point preset, then adjust individual letters to match your institution's table. Grades typed as plain numbers are used as grade points as-is.
Everything is computed locally in your browser — no grades are uploaded anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
How is GPA calculated?
Each course's grade points are multiplied by its credits, the products are summed, and the total is divided by the total credits — a credit-weighted average.
My school uses different point values. Can I change them?
Yes. The letter-to-points mapping box is editable — change any entry (e.g. A=4.33 or add S=4) and the GPA recalculates with your table.
Can I enter numeric grades instead of letters?
Yes. Anything not found in the mapping is read as grade points directly, so 3.7 in the grade field counts as 3.7 points; values above the scale maximum are rejected as invalid.
Is my grade data uploaded anywhere?
No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser and nothing you type ever leaves your device.
