Frequently asked questions
What formula is used?
Required score = (target − current × (1 − w)) ÷ w, where w is the final's weight as a decimal — the standard weighted-average rearrangement.
What if the required score is over 100%?
The tool still shows the exact number and adds a note that the target is out of reach at that weight — unless your final offers extra credit.
My current grade is above 100% from extra credit. Does that work?
Yes. Current and target grades above 100 are accepted; only the exam weight must be between 0 and 100.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser and your grades never leave your device.
