The Wordle Solver filters the list of possible five-letter answers down to the words that fit the clues you have gathered so far. Enter the green letters in their known positions, the yellow letters that are present but in the wrong spot, and the gray letters that are absent, then press Solve to see every word still in play — plus a ranked shortlist of the best next guesses.
Everything runs locally in your browser with a word list loaded once on the page, so nothing you type is uploaded. The solver handles duplicate letters correctly: a gray clue only rules a letter out entirely when that letter has no green or yellow occurrence elsewhere, which is exactly how Wordle's tile colouring behaves when a word repeats a letter. The suggested guesses are ranked by positional letter frequency across the surviving words, so the top picks are the ones most likely to eliminate the most candidates.
To enter clues, put your greens as a five-character pattern using a dot for unknown positions (for example c.a.e), list yellow letters and optionally the position they are NOT in (a3 means an 'a' is present but not in position 3), and type all your gray letters together. The answer pool is a public-domain English word list, so it includes more obscure five-letter words than the official Wordle answer list and may not perfectly match a given day's accepted-guess set.
