About this tool
The Yahtzee Scorer & Odds Calculator takes any five-dice roll and scores it across all thirteen Yahtzee categories at once, then flags the category that earns the most points. Enter the five dice (1–6) and it evaluates the upper section and every combination live in your browser — no sign-in, nothing uploaded.
Scoring follows standard rules. The upper section (Aces through Sixes) scores the sum of dice showing that face. Three- and Four-of-a-Kind score the total of all five dice when you have at least three or four matching. A Full House is 25, a Small Straight (four in a row) is 30, a Large Straight (five in a row) is 40, and a Yahtzee (five alike) is 50. Chance is the sum of all dice, and the upper-section bonus adds 35 if your upper total reaches 63. The tool lists every category's score and marks the best pick with a star.
It also shows the single-roll probabilities for a fair set of five dice (7,776 equally likely outcomes): a Yahtzee is 6/7776 ≈ 0.077%, a Large Straight 240/7776 ≈ 3.09%, a Small Straight about 1920/7776 ≈ 24.7%, a Full House 300/7776 ≈ 3.86%, and Four-of-a-Kind 150/7776 ≈ 1.93%. With the usual keep-and-reroll strategy over three rolls, the chance of landing a Yahtzee rises to roughly 4.6%.
