About this tool

Conversion Rate Calculator is a free, in-browser tool that turns conversions and visits into a conversion rate, and shows what it would take to reach a target rate. Enter your conversions and visits (or clicks) and, optionally, a target percentage. Everything is computed locally as you type; nothing is uploaded.

Conversion rate is CVR = conversions ÷ visits × 100. When you supply a target CVR, the tool computes the conversions needed at your current traffic as ceil(visits × target ÷ 100) and the extra conversions still required as that figure minus your current conversions (never below zero).

Use it to measure landing-page or checkout performance, to set a realistic goal, or to see how many more sign-ups or sales you need without adding traffic. The rate carries a percent suffix and counts are whole numbers.

Frequently asked questions

How is conversion rate calculated?
CVR = conversions ÷ visits × 100. 120 conversions from 4,000 visits is a 3% conversion rate. Use clicks in place of visits if you are measuring post-click conversion.
What does the target rate do?
Enter a target CVR and the tool shows the conversions needed at your current traffic — ceil(visits × target ÷ 100) — and how many more you need beyond your current count. It is optional and left blank by default.
Should I use visits or clicks?
Either — whichever denominator matches your funnel step. Site conversion usually uses sessions or visitors; ad conversion often uses clicks. Just be consistent so the rate is meaningful.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Conversions and visits are processed entirely in your browser; the tool works offline and sends nothing to a server.
