Sign PDF

Draw, type or upload a signature and stamp it on any page of a PDF — a visual signature, not a cryptographic one.

Loads its engine on first use, so there's no offline download — but it still runs privately in your browser, nothing uploaded.

Your files stay on this device

Files are processed in your browser, never uploaded. The site downloads code and assets to run the tools. No accounts or trackers.

Try a worked example

Example

Open a two-page PDF, choose page 2, type Ada Lovelace and use the signature. Click the signature line, adjust its width, then create the PDF. Both pages remain, with the signature image on page 2.

Keep in mind

This adds a visual signature image without a digital certificate or identity verification. Each page holds one signature placement; placing another on that page replaces it. Uploaded signatures must be PNG files.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a legally binding digital signature?
Adds a visual signature image. It does not add a digital certificate or verify identity.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is opened, stamped and saved entirely in your browser with pdf-lib; neither the document nor your signature ever leaves your device.
Can I sign with a name in a non-Latin script?
Yes. Typed signatures are rendered by your browser's text engine before being embedded as an image, so Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic, Hindi and every other script your device can display all work.
How do I position the signature precisely?
Create a signature, select a page, then click or tap exactly where it belongs. Adjust its position and width before downloading. Click the page to place or move the signature. Arrow keys move it; Shift + arrow moves farther.
