About this tool
The Darts Checkout Calculator takes the score you have left in a leg of 501 or 301 and suggests a way to finish it. Standard darts uses segments 1–20 in single, double, and treble rings plus the 25 (outer bull) and 50 (bull, which counts as a double). In the usual game you must finish on a double or on the bull, and this tool searches every one-, two-, and three-dart combination whose last dart is a valid double, preferring the highest treble first — so 170 comes back as T20 T20 Bull.
All of the searching happens locally in your browser with no network calls. Use the darts-in-hand selector to see whether a score can be closed with just the darts you have left (1, 2, or 3), and switch to single-out mode for practice formats where any segment may finish the leg. The tool reports the suggested route, how many darts it takes, and the required finish type.
Some scores simply cannot be checked out in three darts on a double: the classic bogey numbers 169, 168, 166, 165, 163, 162, and 159, along with 1, are flagged as impossible. Any score above 170 also cannot be finished from a single visit. The highest possible three-dart double-out is 170 (T20 T20 Bull); the maximum three-dart score overall is 180.
