End times earlier than the start count as an overnight shift that crosses midnight, so 22:00 to 06:00 reads as eight hours. Breaks are subtracted in minutes, and a break longer than the shift holds the total at zero instead of going negative. Add an hourly rate above zero to multiply the decimal hours into gross pay.

Does it handle overnight shifts?
Yes. When the end time is earlier than the start time, the calculation adds 24 hours and treats the shift as crossing midnight, so 22:00 to 06:00 counts as eight hours.
How is pay calculated?
Pay is the decimal hours worked multiplied by the hourly rate you enter, and it appears only when the rate is above zero. The figure is a plain number formatted for your locale, with no currency symbol added.
Are breaks entered in minutes or hours?
Breaks are entered in minutes and subtracted from the shift span. If the break is longer than the time worked, the result is held at zero rather than going negative.
What is the difference between the decimal and HH:MM figures?
They describe the same worked time two ways: decimal hours (such as 7.50) suits payroll math, while HH:MM (07:30) reads like a clock. Both are shown to the minute, as seconds are not tracked.
