About this tool
Cups to Grams Ingredient Converter is a free, in-browser tool that turns volume measurements into weight for around 30 common baking ingredients. Because a cup of flour and a cup of honey weigh very different amounts, the tool uses a per-ingredient density (grams per cup) rather than one blanket conversion. Everything is computed locally — nothing is uploaded.
Your amount is first normalized to cups: tablespoons ÷ 16, teaspoons ÷ 48, millilitres ÷ 237, grams ÷ density, and ounces (weight) × 28.35 ÷ density. Grams are then cups × the ingredient's density, and ounces are grams ÷ 28.35. The volume tiles show the same quantity expressed as cups, tablespoons and teaspoons.
Pick an ingredient, type an amount, and choose the unit you have. Densities are typical spooned-and-leveled values and vary a little with humidity and packing, so treat the grams as a very close estimate — for precision baking, a scale is still best.
