About this tool
The Ideal Body Measurements Calculator estimates classic 'aesthetic' proportions — chest, arm, forearm, waist, thigh, calf and neck — from your wrist circumference (and optionally your pelvis), using two well-known ratio sets. It runs entirely in your browser and stores nothing.
The Grecian Ideal follows John McCallum's proportions: chest is 6.5 × wrist, then everything is a fraction of that chest — waist 70%, thigh 53%, neck 37%, arm 36%, calf 34% and forearm 29%. The Steve Reeves set uses his classic ratios: arm and neck are 2.52 × wrist, calf 1.92 × wrist, thigh 3.55 × wrist, forearm 80% of the arm, and — if you enter your pelvis — chest 1.48 × pelvis and waist 0.86 × pelvis (otherwise it falls back to the wrist-based chest).

Why start from wrist size?
Wrist circumference barely changes with training, so it is a stable marker of bone structure. Classic proportion systems scale ideal muscle girths from the wrist to suit your frame.
What's the difference between the two sets?
The Grecian Ideal (McCallum) derives everything from chest = 6.5 × wrist. Steve Reeves' set uses his own multipliers and can factor in your pelvis for chest and waist, giving a slightly different classic look.
When should I enter my pelvis measurement?
Only the Steve Reeves set uses pelvis: chest becomes 1.48 × pelvis and waist 0.86 × pelvis. Leave it blank and the chest is estimated from your wrist instead.
